For our EMEA Headquarters we are looking for a Head of Group Accounting (m/f/d) in Allershausen in the north of Munich or in Hattersheim am Main near Frankfurt.
 
Position Overview:
The Head of Group Accounting  will lead the financial activities for YASKAWA Europe in EMEA, including group accounting function, controlling, planning, treasury and taxes. 
 
This key position will work closely with the Senior Vice President Finance/CFO to support business strategy, financial decision-making, and the development of financial forecasts and budgets. The Senior Finance Manager will ensure that all financial reporting and internal control processes align with international accounting standards and company policies. Additionally, this role will play a critical part in driving the company’s financial performance, managing cost control, and ensuring that financial decisions align with corporate objectives. This role requires a strategic leader with strong accounting and controlling expertise, exceptional management skills, and an ability to drive continuous improvement in financial processes across the organization. 

Your tasks:

  • Ensure the timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycles, including consolidation and financial statement preparation and budgeting and forecasting process 
  • Lead and manage the group’s external audit process, acting as the primary liaison with auditors and regulatory bodies
  • Manage intercompany transactions, transfer pricing policies, and resolve complex accounting issues as they arise
  • Collaborate with department heads and senior leadership to provide insights into business performance and identify opportunities for financial improvements
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of global accounting and tax policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to local and international accounting standards (IFRS etc.)
  • Collaborate with the CFO and other senior leadership team members to provide strategic insights into the company’s financial performance and support 
  • Monitor key financial indicators, track company performance against financial targets, and develop action plans to address performance gaps
  • Support business decision-making through financial analysis, highlighting risks and opportunities that may impact profitability and growth
  • Develop and monitor internal control processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and minimize financial risks
  • Assist in the preparation of board presentations, and other key executive communication on financial matters

Our expectation:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or professional certifications such as CFA, CPA preferred)
  • Minimum of  8  years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial or senior finance role
  • Strong background in (group) accounting (IFRS), financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
  • Proven experience managing a global team and working in a complex, multinational corporate environment
  • Excellent understanding of internal controls, audit processes, and financial compliance
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a track record of collaborating with senior management and cross-functional teams
